Walnut tree

Even though it seemed like our past Winter was milder than normal, the bushes and young trees seemed to have had a harder time of it this past Spring.  Maybe it was because our Spring was so cold.

My English walnut tree had a tough time of it.  I wondered if it was going to make it this year.  The tree has been doing so well the past few years I even pruned it a little bit over Winter.

Here is the tree June 12 and then later on July 26.  As you see see there were hardly any leaves in June and the tree should have had plenty of leaves by then.  Thankfully the tree took off once the temperature warmed up in July.
