Caterpillar bands

I've seen a few woolly bear caterpillars the past week.  Apparently it is just folklore that they can predict the upcoming Winter.

Supposedly the wider the brown band the milder the Winter.  I don't know... is this caterpillar's brown band narrow or just average?
