Calves on Mother's Day

Even though it rained overnight the tree stump is still smoldering and burning.  The stumps are hard to catch on fire, but when they do, they will burn and burn.

The last heifer still has not had her calf.  She is pregnant but not ready to deliver yet.

When I feed the cattle small hay bales in the corral, when the calves are done running around and kicking up their heels, they line up along the loading corral fence to sleep and rest.

Well, not all of the calves are ready to rest.  Here Beulah's calf wanders around.

And Rose's calf spent time with Rose and licked Rose as a Mother's Day gift.
