Here is a photo taken back when I harrowed the middle pasture. This tree leans because a little under 20 years ago when the tree was young I pastured a few horses in the Summer. I wondered why the tree was starting to lean back then. Then I saw why. One of the horses would walk over the tree and then use the tree to scratch its belly as it walked backwards and forwards. I had to put a post next the tree and tie it to the post to try to straighten the tree and prevent the horse from walking over the tree any more.
The tree survived.
