Earlier when getting some railroad ties from my stack I moved one tie and set it on the ground. A few days later when I went to re-stack the tie I found the new tunnel. When I returned from getting my camera I saw a quick glimpse of the mouse as it hurried back under the ties on the top of the photo.
I don't know where the mouse moved the dirt to make the tunnel.
I guess it is better than the mouse moving into my house. Knock on wood - so far this year I have not had any mice move into my house this Fall.
