Cattle and snow

The cattle weren't too thrilled by the snow Tuesday as it made eating harder. When not eating they would stand or lay in the large pine trees' rain shadows where it was dry. I didn't have to fill their water trough today. Wonder why?

My neighbor's son took down their pop-up camper late in the afternoon. Half the herd of cattle all gathered round by the fence and watched. Nothing else to do I guess.

So far the trees have handled the snow. But as you can see the branches are weighted down.

The pop-up camper is in the background before it was taken down.

And yes, to those of you living in North Dakota and Minnesota, snow can fall straight down.
