Peacock

We have a peacock visiting us.   When Tammy helped me manage burning the pastures she saw the peacock in the back yard by the pole shed and got lots of excellent photos of it using her cell phone to take the photos. Here is one of Tammy's photos of the peacock.

I wondered if burning most of the pasture grass would drive off the peacock, but a few days after the big burn I saw it in the yard right outside the house.  When I went outside to get a photo of it the peacock walked off so I couldn't get a close photo of it.  Not a panicked walk, just a steady walk to the north pasture.

The peacock is dragging part of one of its feathers (wing?).   I don't know what's up with this.
