Cow leg wound

Today I cut off the bandage from the cow's leg wound.  Still looks yucky and smells.

I'd like to think the cow is a little better, but that may be wishful thinking.  She still struggles to walk.


I re-wrapped the wound to keep the flies off it as they immediately came when I removed the old bandage.  I made cutouts for the dewclaws.  I need to replace the bandage every four to five days.

While the cow is usually easy to work with, I put the cow in the headgate to hold her in place.  She stood and didn't move her foot as I worked.  I did have to avoid several instances when she defecated.
