Momma, Baby and snow

Momma and Baby are adjusting to the snow.  While they spent Saturday afternoon standing by the road just to be somewhat near the the cattle across the road, they usually spend most of their time hanging around the corral.  I put fresh hay out for them several times a day, have a heater to keep their water trough ice free, and there is no snow in the loafing shed.

Saturday, once Momma got her fill of hay in the corral feeder, she headed out to the hayfield to be near the neighbor's cattle across the road.  Baby reluctantly followed.  I think she preferred to stay in the loafing shed and out of the snow.

Now that the ground is covered by snow I closed the gate to the south pasture.  I left the gate open to the hayfield so Momma and Baby can wander over to see the neighbor cattle across the road.
