Saturday I trapped my 28th pocket gopher for the year.   That makes 1500 pocket gophers trapped since I started trapping them back in the late Summer of 2003.  Eight years of trapping and an average of almost 200 per year.  I have put a dent in their population as I don't find as many this year.  That may change once the cattle eat the hayfield grass down and I can see the ground better.
