Friday afternoon Sugar finally had her calf. Another bull calf. Saturday morning Donna came over to help me band and tag the calf. By now I had all the cows and calves in the loading corral to eat hay. Because of the hard time Donna and I had when we banded calf 6, Donna suggested I carry Sugar's calf into the loading part of the corral and not to the pickup. The ground was softer in the loading part of the corral and Donna was able to kneel down to band the calf. And with a fence between us and Sugar we didn't have Sugar in our face as Donna banded the calf. This banding and ear tagging went fast.
The other cows went to the corral. Time for you two to go also.
