Broken tree stump

A tree stump I had cleaned up around last year, and then left for the cattle to rub against, didn't last as long as I thought.  A few days ago I seen the stump broken off.  So another stump to dig or burn this Spring.

The weather is changing.  Tonight, and through all of Wednesday, a cold front is coming.  Some snow, but mainly strong wind and very cold temperatures and windchills.   This afternoon when I put out another large hay bale for the cows (and bull), instead of putting the bale in the middle pasture, I put the bale in the north pasture a short distance from the corral.  That way the cows (and bull), when not eating, can go in the corral and loafing shed to get out of the wind.
