The expo was held in the same building as the Ronan Ag expo we attended back on February 4. This time the expo didn't leave the large side door open, and on Saturday the temperature was warmer in the afternoon. It still felt a bit chilly as they left the front door open for part of the day. Someone must have complained as the door was closed in the afternoon.
The sun was rising over the Swan Mountain Range as we left Kalispell.
Tammy's booth |
The building wasn't full of vendors. One wall only had one vendor. The organizer had us at a corner table right next to another vendor. We were too close. Tammy was able to fit her stuff on the table but the other vendor wanted and needed more room. So he asked to move and the organizer easily found the couple another table with more room.
The crowd attending the expo was light. There were more people at the Ag expo. But it was a different crowd. Tammy sold more items this time, though she didn't get any bookings for parties or fundraisers.
The expo went from 9 and to 4:30 pm. Tammy left at 2:30 pm to go to Charlo, MT to talk with some ladies about holding a fundraiser. So I had to man the booth by myself. I managed. I ended up selling half of the total amount sold.
The expo had a silent auction which ended at 4 pm. Once the silent auction was over most of the vendors packed up and left. Tammy was not back yet but I also packed up. I was done packing by 4:30 pm and then sat and waited for Tammy to return. Most people were gone by the time Tammy arrived at 4:45 pm.
Early in the afternoon I took a break and wandered around outside. The weather was beautiful. Sunny, calm wind and a temperature in the 50s. No wonder our attendance was not greater.
This is view outside the community center where the expo was held. It is the Mission Mountains. Pretty, isn't it?
