Once again I found part of a tree stump near where I had removed one last year. Last year I dug out a tree stump here. A week or so ago I noticed the ground had settled and sunk over the past year where the stump used to be. I decided to dig the ground around the old hole and use it to fill in the low spot. In doing so I uncovered yet more of the tree stump. To be fair to me, there was a gap of a foot or so from the former tree stump and this part that I found.
I had to do a bit of digging to get all of the stump root out. That is why I am including this stump in my count of stumps removed this year.
