Saturday was fairly windy so I didn't complete my ditch burning. Sunday wasn't suppose to be as windy, but still, I got up earlier than usual and burnt the rest of the ditch and then the part of the pasture in the morning before the wind picked up. And in the afternoon the wind did pick up. More than predicted. Glad I got my burning done earlier than usual.
I also burnt the NE corner of the pasture as I wanted to get rid of pine needles and pine cones. This area didn't burn as easily as I expected and I had to work on keeping the fire going. Not as many pine cones burnt as I expected. So later I'll have work at gathering and removing the pine cones.
