Things are getting back to normal. Things are much quieter. The cows eat in the middle and south pastures and only occasionally moo back to the calves. Some cows will come take their siesta in the middle pasture where they can look over at their calves.
The calves are quieter. Some calves are calm and lay down to relax and chew their cud instead of always pacing. The calves that still stand and look at their mothers and moo, moo weakly as these calves are pretty hoarse and have weak voices.
The calves do have a healthy appetite as I give them more hay several times a day.
